Join Us for Museum Day in Roswell November 1
Join us for an enriching and enlightening celebration on Saturday, November 1 for Museum Day Roswell, a free admission day* for our local museums. It's your opportunity to visit with one museum or all locations as you explore the wealth of knowledge our museums have to offer.
The Anderson Museum of Art will be open with raffle drawings and activities for participants.
This year, we have a new addition with the opening of the Space Toy Museum downtown! Conversely, due to the flood, the Roswell Museum is closed, but they will have a booth set up at the Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art. So, even though we have eight museums, the number of locations to visit will be seven.
Each museum will have different activities, including take-and-make art, scavenger hunts, tours and refreshments! Free prize drawings are available at each museum to win fun museum merchandise. Visit with all eight museums that day and get stamps in a passport activity to be entered into a grand prize drawing valued at $800. The grand prize drawing will take place at place at 5:30 pm at the Anderson Museum. (All ages welcome to participate. Prize entries must be submitted by an adult. You need not be present to win.)
*Note: Admission is free to each venue, however, visitors to the UFO Museum must bring an event postcard or flyer to claim the free entry for that location. Postcards will be available starting October 1 at the other five venues as well as the day of the event. The Roswell Museum will have postcards at the October Farmers Markets as well.
