Mark Packer

Born in Lansing, Michigan, sculptor Robert Mark Packer (1955-2013) studied at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, earning his BFA in 1978, and later became an Adjunct Professor there. He obtained his MFA at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1982. Mark’s kinetic sculptures were exhibited around the world, including the Comme de Garcons in Tokyo, Japan, the Snug Harbor Cultural Center in New York, the Muskegon Museum of Art in his hometown of Muskegon, Michigan, the Artemesia and NAME Galleries in Chicago, and the Visual Arts Center of Alaska in Anchorage.
